Here is some additional information for the following cities in Los Angeles County: Alhambra, Inglewood, Pasadena, Culver City, City of El Segundo

Alhambra back to list of Los Angeles County cities
The City of Alhambra, located in the San Gabriel Valley, includes its own police department and a jail with 44 beds. The jail houses municipal arrestees, along with federal prisoners and INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) detainees.

The time it takes for an arrested individual to get booked (which includes prescreening) at the Alhambra City Jail depends on the charges, but usually averages about an hour to an hour and a half. Visiting hours at the jail are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

When the jail gets bail paperwork from a licensed bail bondsman, and the lieutenant signs off on it, the release on bail typically occurs within minutes.

The large majority of cases for those arrested in Alhambra get heard at the Alhambra Courthouse, located in the city at 150 W. Commonwealth Ave. This is just across the street from the police department and jail.

Inglewood back to list of Los Angeles County cities
Inglewood, located very close to Los Angeles International Airport, operates its own police department with a jail (detention facility) for adults. The time it takes to book an individual depends on a number of factors, including the fingerprinting system status.

Those arrested in Inglewood have their cases heard at the Inglewood Courthouse, located at One Regent Street in the city. This is only about a half-mile from the Inglewood Police Department.

Pasadena back to list of Los Angeles County cities
The booking process for an arrested individual at the Pasadena Police Department generally takes a couple of hours, although the wait for the Live Scan fingerprint check alone can take one to three hours. Visiting hours for inmates are 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

When a licensed bondsman presents a bail bond to the police department, release on bail usually occurs within 30 minutes.

The Pasadena Courthouse, at 300 E. Walnut Ave., hears cases for those arrested in Pasadena. The courthouse is basically adjacent to the police department.

Culver City back to list of Los Angeles County cities
The Culver City Police Department generally books arrested individuals and releases them on bail relatively quickly. If the arrested individual is the only one being processed, booking typically takes less than a half hour. And if nothing else major is going on, release on bail usually takes 10-15 minutes once a licensed bail bondsman brings in a bond.

Culver City felony and misdemeanor cases get handled at the Airport Courthouse, 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles (south of West Imperial Highway and west of the San Diego Freeway).

The El Segundo Police Department, which employs approximately 70 sworn officers, averages about an hour to book an individual arrested in the city. When a licensed bondsman brings in a bail bond, it typically takes just 15 to 20 minutes for the release of the detained individual.

Two courts hear cases for those arrested in El Segundo, which borders Los Angeles International Airport: The Airport Courthouse (which handles criminal cases), at 11701 S. La Cienega Blvd. in Los Angeles, and the Inglewood Courthouse, at One Regent Street in Inglewood. For more information on these courts, visit http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/locations
